The Protestant Truth Society (PTS) exists to assist Christians and churches to stand for the truth in all its glory and against error in all its forms.
At the Society's recent Annual General Meeting, the following resolutions were passed unanimously:
'This Annual General Meeting of the Protestant Truth Society calls upon Her Majesty's Government not to pass any legislation to allow "homosexual marriage". We affirm the biblical teaching that marriage can only be between one man and one woman, and that marriage is not a human invention for any nation to redefine, but a universal institution ordained by God. We call upon Her Majesty's Government to do everything in its power to support the uniqueness of heterosexual marriage.'
'This Annual General Meeting of the Protestant Truth Society calls upon Her Majesty's Government not to legislate to permit spouses of Roman Catholics to ascend to the throne. While few would argue strongly for the preferment of male heirs, the requirement for the British monarch not to be married to a Roman Catholic is not a "historical anomaly". In such marriages, the Church of Rome requires any sons or daughters born to be raised as Roman Catholics. This would have serious implications for the Monarch's position as Supreme Governor of the Church of England, thereby threatening our Protestant Constitution which has served the nation so well for so long, and allowed people of all faiths and none to live in peace and thrive in society.
